Closet Doors

Closet Doors

In the 17th century, many kinds of cupboards emerged for different storage reasons including those that were used to keep clothes. These wardrobe keepers usually had two closet doors where the shelves lay within and the whole thing was made from oak. Usually, there were two drawers beneath the doors which completed the typical style of the old closets. Towards the end of the century, the oak wood was replaced by walnut and other kinds of wood that had different colors and textures that went with the new designs and styles.

Almost all the closets or cupboards back then were built with doors that showed the majority of the design. Most of the time, the closet’s door was as big as the whole structure.Upgrading your closet with custom closet doors is neither hard nor expensive. It just takes a little imagination and a good hardware store to get the right design and material to replace the old and boring look of your closet.
